Foster mare or companion orphan foal needed!

Hi all,

I've just received this email and whilst I can't help I thought perhaps someone on here might be able to.

2 Day Old colt foal urgently requires foster mare or another orphan foal for company.

Hi if you go on www.horsequest.com they have a link to the national foaling bank which helps in these situations to find foster mares. Thought it might help. Good Luck

Hi, I have text the mobile number that you quoted in your post but have not had an reply. If you might be able to pass on these details that would be appreciated. I know it's a few weeks since your post was put up but if there's any chance that the mare & foal could still bond it would be worth it.

I am writing on behalf of a friend who lives in Blackburn. Her mare lost her foal this morning. She gave birth early today (2/05/09). The mare has had a foal before and was an excellent mum. She's a 14hh Welsh x with loads of milk available. If anyone has an orphan foal in need of a mare please write on here or email Nicky@furrymonster.org or call 07790926663 and I will pass on details.

She has been in touch with the National Foaling Bank already. Any help would be appreciated.
