Found dog. Tameside area.

Had a gorgeous dog appear on my drive tonight at about 9pm. Tried to take him for a walk to see if he'd take me to his house or if anybody was watching out for him. Unfortunately not so had to phone the dog warden, took him down and they found he had a microchip! Was so excited! Just had a phonecall to say he is registered in Ireland :( so upset as hoped he'd be home by the morning!

Long shot but if anybody knows someone who has lost a dog please send them my way!

Did you try Doglost? It was great when I found a dog recently.

What a pain the microchip was out of date. And no collar tag? It's so easy to reunite lost dogs and owners if they're up to date, impossible if they're not.

Luckily we've had a happy ending! I had fretted about the dog all night and was going to go and offer to have him while they tried to find him a home but as I was getting ready heard a knock at the door and who's stood there? Only the dog with my nextdoor neighbour! Turns out he's been looking after him and he'd escaped while he was at work! He'd been out looking for him all night so must have just missed eachother! He collected him from the dog warden at half 2 am! Couldn't have been happier and got another lovely big kiss!

They are in the process of getting the microchip updated as he's only just come over! A gorgeous GSD with a beautiful temperament to match!
