When i bought my horse he had the wrong passport which i knew and it was fine. What i didnt know is that he was sold because he broke bones in four riders including the owner who broke an arm and a leg. Its really hard to hear that he could do that and was pushed to that as he was ridden 2 years early. Im glad to know because now i can ease off him and give him time to realise its not that hard really. Glad to say he will have a home for life with me and wont have to go through anything like this again.
Pointless post really but just glad i stuck with him.

it's not easy hearing things like this, but in a home with love, care, guidance and patience hopefully it will all work out for the best for you both

Well, it's probably a good thing to know because at least you can plan how you approach his training. But don't let it put you off :)

My last horse was a bit quirky, and it wasn't until I got chatting to someone who, coincidentally had known him as a youngster at the other side of the country, that I discovered he had been rushed through his backing. Someone sat on him in the stable and he went straight up and cracked his skull. They then tried to back him another 2 times before he came to my yard age 7 to have another go :(

I had always wondered what the scar on his poll was. He turned into a perfectly lovely horse, even with his quirks - so best of luck :)

Well done you, why are so many people soo over eager to get their horses into work, when they have years ahead of them.?

Again well done, and good luck I am sure you will have much success.

BTW not a pointless post atall, I hope many people read it and realise what damage they do by bringing on to soon, again WELLL DONE

Its good that you know that, but also good that you are not letting it put you off! I got my boy as 3 other owners found him to much for them and with his first loaner he gave her concussion 3 times n a year and her thumbs will never be the same again after him bolting with her.

And he broke my ankle. But he was late to mature and is fab now.
