Found Springer Spaniel

This was taken from the local farmwatch bulletin. I don't facebook, so maybe someone that does could have a look for me? I haven't posted the person to contact if interested, but please pm me if you can help.

Found Springer Spaniel
I have been contacted this morning by a member of the Neighbourhood Watch who has been passed a Springer Spaniel which was found in East Hanningfield Road
Breed: Spring Spaniel
Age: Approx. 1-2
Gender: Dog
Colour: Black & White
When handed over to Neighbourhood member the dog was wearing a dark red collar and had a chain lead - they are not sure whether the person who found the dog put the collar and lead on or whether they belong to the dog and it may have run off during a walk. If you know of anyone missing a Black & White Springer Spaniel - please contact me as soon as possible.

Please give more details about the area found as I don't know East Hanningfield. I can then check on Dogs Lost to see if a Springer has gone missing . http://www.doglost.co.uk/

have checked doglost and no English springer missing in east reported and also no note of one found. Could always be a stolen dog from elsewhere dumped there. Or maybe owner is now reunited and never got to register loss. Hopefully clodagh will keep us informed.

Have you taken it to a vet or dog warden to get it scanned for a microchip? A chain lead is a bit suspicious...

checked on alfies lost dogs site and it seems this dog was found on 26th and went to kennels and on to Chelmsford council kennels

I just copied the post from the farmwatch bulletin, it is unlikely I will get an update, I just thought it might be worth publicising wider. Well done for finding that HH, I hope he gets found or rehomed.
