i remember it like it was yesterday (21yrs ago) i didnt know i was getting him and he was delivered in the back of a transit van (dont ask) he had been left at a livery yard and owners had dissapeared without paying livery......so mum bought him and he was mine, i thought he was the most wonderful thing ever (seem to remember him being anything but) i dint have any tack for a few weeks but that didnt stop us we just used a headcoller and a long leadrein, saddle nah didnt need one of them either lol....so anyone else got any old pics of first horses/ponies

aww amazing pic & story! i dont have a pic on this computer & my internet isnt strong enough to upload a video but here's my story:

xmas eve 1997 (aged 10) was going to a pony day at riding school. for some reason my mum was insisting we went half an hour early & the whole family was taking me to the stables. but my little naieve self didnt suspect a thing. got to the stables & my riding instructor met me & said I had left my whip down by my favourite pony's stable when I had last been riding. so off i trot down to the stable & for some reason my whole family & my RI followed me, but still i didnt suspect a thing. i got to the stable & sure enough my whip was there. also on the stable door there was a xmas card with my name on it. I was told to open it & read it & it said:
B eautiful &
Oh so cute, he's a
B rown little pony, he's a
B right little pony & this pony is
YOURS!

(the pony was called Bobby)

& it was signed from my aunt. I was speechless, I couldn't believe it, I still cant. It was the best day of my life & I will be eternally greatful. It was amazing, the best xmas present ever. Sure over the next few weeks I kept getting bucked off, I was knee deep in horse S**t in freezing temperatures, but i was the happiest girl alive.

It was amazing & I think it was the best thing ever. I am having a terrible day today so when i finish writing this i am off to look for that video because that cannot fail to lift me.

I dont know what else to say but WOW. 13 years later i still havnt got over it :)

This is Bobby a few years later, unfortunately as i was about to sell hime, very sadly very outgrown!
