He turned what was a sad day into a good day as six years ago today my husband died of cancer

It is down to Dave that I can afford my horse, horsebox and do what I want to with Pidge and for that I am eternally grateful.
So thank you Dave for Annie, Higgins (lost to Grass Sickness 8.5.05) and Pidge I hope you would be proud of what I have achieved with Pidge and the difference four years can make.

Since having Pidge I have had to cope with him having hock spavin and two badly fitting saddles which thankfully have all been sorted out now and he is in full work

We've competed in showing, dressage, show jumping, hunter trials and unaffiliated one day events, but love our jumping best of all. It hasn't all been sweetness and light but then that's horses for you, I get frustrated and annoyed when things don't go right, but then am on a high for a week when we have a good XC round

Most of all though the thing I love about Pidge is when he hears me walking down the track to the field and stops and looks up and gently ambles over to the gate

I am very sorry to hear of your loss, still absolutely raw I am sure. I loved the pictures, particulary the one of you and Pidge tackling a XC course? You two look absolutely in tune and made for one another x

Where are you next out and about? Is your friend doing the HT at Eland? If so I'll let you know when we are running so you can see the pig flying
