Four years without you

Four years since colic took my special horse Pete. He was funny gentle kind and sweet. He brought me so much joy. Taught me more than I ever knew I needed to learn. Made me laugh made me cry! Helped me through so much. Found friends for me I still have. A lifetime so well earned. Sleep peacefully boy. I still miss you.

I lost mine to colic, it will be two years in the autumn. I think the sudden losses can affect us for a very long time. I don't think we ever stop missing them.
