Fox-Pitt' Lionheart sold?

News today that Lionheart (Olympic silver medalist) has been sold to America! Anyone any idea of the value of a horse like that? I've had a couple of "guesses" by educated people but range from £100k to £1m!!

Anyone any ideas?
Not that I'm looking to buy - I'm happy with my 18 year old RID mare! Just a wondering !

That's not much really, as a pony we used to own sold 15 years ago for £145 grand. Maybe the demand for jumping ponies is higher?
PS, we didn't sell him for that, we sold him for £700 complete with tack!!!!! Little did we know that he jumped like a stag and indeed went on to jump for England!!
