Hi all, first time posting in this section and after any experiences/advice.

My 6 year old collie/terrier/cross something else rescue pup showed signs of limping on her right foreleg for the first 4 or 5 strides after getting up from resting then walked fine. Trip to the vet revealed soreness in elbow area and given 10 days worth of inflacam. After finishing the course, the limping returned on initial get up from rest so trip back to the vet and x rays booked in for today. These have shown a possible fracture to the joint in her elbow, none of the bones affected. X rays being sent to an Ortho specialist for review and advice on treatment etc. and I should hear early next week.

Has anyone else's dog had a similar injury that can offer any experience of the treatment given, recovery and ongoing prognosis of an active lifestyle or if it will be restricted going forwards. I know each dog is different and I will get given advice from my own vet, but would love to know how things were for your own dog.

I know a spaniel that had a (something like) condylar fracture? Might be wrong name.
He had it screwed or plated and was back out working g again the next season. I’m not sure how he is now, arthritis wise.
I hope it is onwards and upwards for yours.
