Fraudsters jailed, vet got off lightly

I don't understand why the vet escaped jail, his actions are such a breach of his professional standards and the trusted position that vets are in. Most clients don't think to question a vet's integrity.

As you, OP, I can't imagine that the profit to be made from signing a few dodgy vacc certs is worth risking being struck off for.
But this vet is not alone. There was one local to me who was signing false certs at a slaughterhouse, several yrs ago. He was struck off, too.
