Another who has just signed up! I did anatomy and nutrition at college but that was 8 years ago now so would be nice to have a refresher!
The Equine Science looks very interesting, may embark on that thanks
Incidently, I have just started another course on coursera today, Greek and Roman Mythology, reporting back, the lectures and material are really good![]()
Is this an online course?
Signed up a week ago and thought today I'd see what extra reading could be done - have you checked out the recommended books? The pricesWon't be getting any of those then
I wonder if anyone has any suggestions as to good books at cheaper prices which may be appropriate for this course?
Its just over 3k a year, think it works out as 10k over all.
I think as long as you have a decent degree and a decent amount of experience with horses they'll take you on anyway.
The first module is all about getting you up to scratch with biological stats and getting back into the swing of essay writing anyway.
I'm taking a break from it this year and hoping to go back to it next (stupid unemployment!)
TBH though I'm still a little unsure of where it'd lead too, I was the only "hobby" rider doing it, the rest all seemed to own studs and compete at a decent standard so I could see it being useful for them but I'm just a happy hacker really, and just thought it looked interesting!
Do you think they'd take you on say if you didn't have a degree, but had studied equine anatomy and physiology at College level but could have a recomendation from a lecturer saying you had a high understanding of it?
Its an area I would say I'm pretty good in, but I don't have a degree![]()
and is there funding for it?
Signed up- it's great, just what I have been looking for - and free!
Just seen the book prices too - £41, £42, £62 and £230!!! Amazon, you have to be joking...
I'm with Angelbones, anyone any reccomendations?
