After seeing the free ticket for BSJA in horse and hound we've decided to take our cob showjumping! So a few questions!

1) With our ticket I know that we are not entitled to prize money but are we entitled to a rosette?

2) If we are competing 1m unaffiliated, what should we enter BSJA? Is there a massive difference in course standard? When do you get the dreaded water tray?

Thank you!!!

If you are on a ticket you are not eligable for placing or prizes so effectivley you are entering hc.
If you are jumping well at 1m I would say enter the british novice which is 2'9" as the spreads are built to width etc and the courses are generally more demanding. The water tray doesn't come in untill foxhunters I think.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy

Not quite the same as HC because you are able to go into the jump off when on a ticket. You never get prize money or qualifications but some show centre's do give rosettes out (but not all !!)
I would stick to Brit Nov or Disco for your first attempt and see how it goes.

Have a good time
