IMPORTANT INFO. ESSEX. Crossposted. . if any one is looking for a lost dog. Southend scumbag has been arrested due to dog fighting. he has 15 dead dogs in bins in a basement and dead cats. he may have purchased them as free or stolen them from outside shops. but some are chipped some are not. if you think possibilty it... could be your dog please call police with chip details. Apparently some animals have been found ALIVE. These include Staffies Boxers, and Spaniels.
I don't have any more details. Just passing the info on.
Louise McDermot UPDATE - Out of the 15 dead bodies they found 9 microchips. owners will be notified. boddies that have been identified are: 5 staffys, 1 black 1 black/tan and white (chipped), 1 brown and white (chipped)(NOT TINKS). 2 brown or tan colour unsure 1 chipped. 2 spaniels only one has chipped.1 german shepard (chipped). 1 female boxer cross (chipped) also for she was pergnant with 4 pups . 2 staffy cross one chipped. 4 unknown 2 small 2 medium 2 chipped. IF you think any of these could be your dog please contact police
 
There are people out there who think dog fighting is either a myth or isolated incidents, wrong this is a sport for some with illegal betting and a growing number of criminals involved.
 
No one believes it happens in our leafy surburbs. I know it takes place in and around Guildford in Surrey as there was a golden retriever found dead, traced via chip and had been rehomed on one of the free magazines. Said dog had its mouth taped shut so it couldnt' defend itself.
 
Other forums are saying that this is a hoax and that Essex police know nothing about it.
It's either sick that it has happened or sick that someone has made it all up.

I hope you don't mind me asking but where is the info cross posted from?

I really need to send it to an acquaintance who is trying to rehome her dog through gumtree/preloved despite being offered a rescue space as she doesn't want the dog to go into kennels.
 
Ive checked on fb and it didnt come from Puppy Love that was another but did come from someone who is well respected. It looks like it is a hoax and we have all been taken in, its pretty sick in my opinion to do this BUT dont kid yourselves this does go on.There are so many dogs being taken from gardens etc and they are not all going to puppy farms.

I don't think that story is true, however the sentiment is very much so. Dog fighting is increasing and give away pets are the first source for bait dogs and I have frequently seen and shared photos of the dogs that were saved from that fate. Those photos are always horrific.
