Does anybody use it, I have today been given 50 huge sacks, some are really lovely big soft white flakes, in others there is some sawdust type stuff, not sure if that could cause a problem and some of the bags are very heavily "woody" smelling, feel quite lucky really as i never usually get anything for free but knowing my luck the horses will be coughing like mad tomorrow and I wont get any use from them

some will be better than others, but if you get a bag of dust or dusty shavings add into the banks and put the older bedding on top (when your horse is out of the stable/ in the field) you can always add the bags then sprinkle with a watering can t slightly damp, similar principle to wood pellets. at the end of the day they only pooh and weee on them then you muck them out.

Yes never had any problems, put the finer stuff at the bottom. I used to go bag it at the woodyard just crack on and use it! Im sure it will be fine.

Yes we get it and its brillaint stuff to use on top of rubber mats and way more absorbant than anything like bedmax.

I also get some bags that are sawdust,i use it for the banks or for the base as i deep litter in winter.

Never have a problem, done it for years.
