My exams and coursework have just finished let the summer commence!
:D:D
What are everybodies summer plans?

I just finished my second year of university. I have reading to do, and a dissertation to research/plan. But...this Tuesday coming I will be getting back in the saddle after ten years! Counting the minutes; really looking forward to it! :)

In 32 days I will see my horses for the first time since August 13th LAST YEAR! I live in Hong Kong and they live in Morocco so I only get to see them for 7 weeks of the year. It's been like this for the past 5 years. I work in a busy international school here so when I go to my house in Morocco I spend almost every minute at the Yard with them. I get so excited about May every year and have been counting with a widget since Christmas.

lol I remember that feeling, congrats & enjoy it, it doesn't get much better :D

It must be tough being apart form your horses millreef and even harder saying goodbye after 7 weeks. when do you think you'll be reunited permanently?

It's difficult really - I work to pay for my childrens education. I have a son in his first year at University and a daughter in Year 7. If I go to Morocco they would suffer. It's really tough when we say goodbye to the horses but we spend the whole year planning what we'll do with them next year.

I'm going to go work for La Fiaba on here (as a groom in a trekking centre in Tuscany) I have 17 more days to go before I'm there!!

I'm just going to be riding, riding, riding and riding some more :D
I'm also hoping to start doing some longer distances on my pony in endurance. We're planning a 2 day 80km at Berkshire Downs at the end of June and a 50 or 65km at Cirencester at the end of July. And there's lots of competing in between ;)

I hope to do my first ODE at then end of July so before then I would like to work abit on my dressage and showjumping! :o:p Apart from that, just to enjoy another summer with my horse hacking about and having fun!:)

Oh and not to forget my new TB is being delivered to mine at the end of July so I have him to get fit for Point to Pointing! And I'm really looking forward to giving him the love and attention that he so needs and deserves! :D

I have just finished Uni too! 4 months off!! :D
I am planning on really improving my riding and having loads of lessons on 2 of mine.
Get out to the 4 year old's first ridden competition and do a bit of everything with him and get his jumping good.
Back the 3 year old lightly and do lots of inhand showing
take the older one out to lots of dressage comps and try and get up to at least novice, possibly elem.
