Do such people exist? I'm looking for somebody to help meturn out/ muck out/bring in and maybe ride when I away either working or on hols, seems really hard to find anyone (I'm in the horse saturated South East!)

It does depend on where you are. I live in Berkshire and there are some people who advertise in local tack shops, also college students may be interested. where exactly do you live?

I'm near Canterbury in Kent - not really near to any of the major equine colleges and so far all I've found are young teenagers, can;t give the responsibility of a horse to someone very young - especially for a coupole of weeks at a time if you know what I mean!

I do this for a lady. Happened because we knew her from when I was quite young, and my mum bumped into her a year ago, and I've been her horse sitter ever since! I've done others through word of mouth too.

Agree with Reashi that the good ones operate by word of mouth. Shame you're not nearer the Sussex border, as I know an excellent person!
