For the the last few years I have done a fair bit of riding for local people in my area, all through word of mouth and quite casually (although paid). If I was to do more of it, and more formally, what sort of insurance would I need to be covered by? I have riders insurance, but wasn't sure if maybe I would need freelance instructor insurance or something similar?
Thanks for replies

Correct me if I'm wrong but most rider-only policies won't cover you for professional riding. When I was clipping I had a general groom's policy (care custody and control and public liability) which covered me for riding too, but not instructing, IIRC. Your best bet would be to phone around a few insurers and ask.
