Freestep Lamalert and Green Source - anyone used it?

Has anyone tried Freestep Lamalert and / or Green Source liquid for their cresty ponies? My mare used to be very overweight and although I have her down to a manageable level and exercise her as much as I can, she still has quite a crest. I was wondering if these products would help so would like to hear feedback if anyone has any.
 
I am put of the Freestep products as there is no ingredients list. I am wary of any products which don't say what the ingredients are
 
I found the lady very very difficult to get a straight answer out of. She simply claimed that it worked and flat out refused to tell me what was in the product! I had my horse on it for a few months out of curiosity, but found it very expensive and noticed very little difference. It certainly wasn't the miraculous cure it is marketed as! In the end, a very strict diet and then when possible exercise regime was the best solution unsurprisingly!
 
I used it for most of the summer last year and my mare did appear to loose some of her crest neck but nothing like the pictures on the leaflet they give out, I just feed magnesium oxide now it has more or less the same effect but it's a fraction of the cost, the thing is with the freestep and lam alert products they only recommend 2 hours turnout a day for the product to work properly.
 
Thanks for your thoughts. As my mare has arthritis and sweetitch I already feed a lot of supplements including mag ox so was really keen to find out exactly what was in the product; I don't want to be overloading her. She's on restricted grazing with soaked hay (I'm not going to keep her in for 22 hours a day!).

I asked on their Facebook page for the nutritional breakdown and they just directed me to the website, which wasn't much help. They didn't respond to my follow up query for more information.
 
I spoke to the ladies on there stall at royal international last year and they skirted around my questions of what was in it, I think the lam alert does have magnesium in it I am sure I still have an old tub, I have just had a look and both the free step and lama let have mgco3 listed and botanical extract is in the lamalert? Whatever that is I don't know, my mare has cushings and ems so she is on pracend now which has really helped loose the abnormal fat deposits better than any supplement did and I too was not prepared to keep her in for so long

Just a thought but my mare had what I thought was sweet itch but was in fact a side effect of the cushings and this year she has not been half as itchy, have you considered getting her tested for cushings she may just have it very mild.
 
I had her tested a couple of years ago, but not recently. It would be worth doing, thanks for the pointer.
 
Just checked on their website and ingredients for LamAlert are listed as: 22 Hydroxyecdysterone 2 acetate, Carthamasterone A ecdysterone, Zinc, Copper, MgCo3

I wanted to know how much each does gave, so I could compare it to what I give now, but they are being a bit cagey.
 
They use the photos of my horse in their adverts and leaflets and they are 100% accurate. Nothing a Vet did helped him, 40 Metformin a day did nothing.. Freestep was amazing, shifted all the crest and the fat lumps/cellulite.
 
Free step lamalert was magnesium and seaweed. Expensive for what it is. Just buy plain magnesium and feed a scoop each day. Crest takes ages to go- it’s take my ems laminitic a year from his initial weight loss to get the crest down and almost away. It is the last to go so they need to be really at that crucial balance of intake and outake(exercise) being nicely balanced.
