So, unfortunately I have had to pull out of the Regionals at Patchetts..........I am sooooooooo disappointed........BUT, results of x-rays came back clear, and I had a physio recommended by vet who was very good and came out yesterday.....I forgot I used her years and years ago for my previous horse!!! Anyways, I rode him and he was very heavy in my right hand and did not want to move freely...she found that he was very very tight in his neck, various muscles, (wont bore you!!), so manipulated him and then I rode again......WOW, he felt soooo much better and strode out and bent much easier....I am holding onto this now and hoping that that is the only cause and my horse is very very sensitive...I know he is a big black "Jack the lad" but he does tell me frequently if he feels a little tinge!!!

So, now before I go to work, he has to go on walker, under heat lamp,massage, stretching and then riding in just walk and trot!! I fear this week is going to be rather knackering.......but she said he should be back to normal work within a week!!!!! that means I may make the Regionals at Addington!!!!!!!!!!I am going to take one day at a time though and if I feel he is not ready then so be it.......but I really do hope he will be ready...as I know many of you are going to Addington too!!! Fingers crossed!!
 
Aww mate - I am so sorry to hear this. I did say I needed to catch up. Anyway it sounds like you are getting on top of it and poor Freestyler is on the mend and YOU WILL (hopefully)GO TO THE BALL - well Addington!

Thanks Folara.......I love my boy and he has taken me to places I have only dreamt of.......hopefully I can go there again.....and not just in my dreams!!!!!!! and this time make an impact!!!!!!

Ha!!! Carthorse!!!!!!!!!! SORRRRYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! (one too many glasses of wine last night in celebration!!!)LOL!!! Forgot to respond to you!! I am glad we are not in the same class too!! But I believe the same day, Thursday? Will be great to see you again.......if all goes well.....not getting my hopes up just yet.......although this morning I thought I was going to fall off as he tossed his head and began leaping about in the fog!!! EKK!!!

Just read this......sad you're missing Patchetts but at least Addington gives you more time to get himself right. Fingers crossed you'll get there OK.

Don't feel you're alone.......since just before Christmas I've been having a nightmare time with my girl. First saddle problems, then snotty nose and cough and just had the phsio to her and she too has had loads of work done.
I'm in two minds whether to send my Addington entries or not.......going to leave it until the last minute!

Regionalitis strikes again..............

Really sorry to hear about your girl Bananaman, fingers crossed she will be better very soon.
I've told Patrick that he is still very ill and there are no major competitions coming up, it seems to be working so far.

LOL! Thanks Bananaman. I thought it was time for a change.

Might see you at the regionals if you go to Addington. I'm not riding but will probably go to support some friends who are.
