freeze marking/microchipping

Hi - three of my neds are microchipped, but not freeezemarked - would you have yours freezemarked as well?

Yep! My three are all freezemarked too. It's more of a deterrant to would-be thieves!

A freezemark is a visible deterent, micro chip is not.....your decision?

Mine has both - he was microchipped when I got him, I had his freezemark done about 6 weeks ago. I think it's worth doing as it's a visual deterrent - the microchip will only be useful AFTER the horse has been stolen, and IF anyone actualy scans for it!

Hi. I always had my horses freezemark even if they were microchiped. Thieves never seem to take horses that are freezemarked!

I did. Can't be too careful - it's a visual deterrent, but I did feel sad marking them that way.

My boy is being freezemarked in a few weeks, I may well microchip as well when I have some cash.

yes. Freezemarking is visable & easily identifiable.
