Can anyone recommend someone who does freeze marking in the Somerset area.
Also where about's do you have your horse freeze marked, especially if have a lot of white on them.

Contact Farmkey, they will give you number of local person, or look on their website. One of my coloured has brown rump so number on there, the other only has brown patch from behind saddle down to flank, her number is each letter underneath the other in a line running downwards. My 2 bays are marked on neck under mane.

My grey pony is freeze branded on both shoulders. If done properly, it shouldn't matter where they are done even if they have a lot of white on them.

The marks show up very clearly (even when he is filthy...)

Lady who covers Farmkey in south west did mine last year. Very nice person, took her time, made all the difference.

Previous owner had my mare done underneath where her saddle goes in the area a half pad would cover, so quite close to the spine. That way you cant see it whilst riding. Tbh most of the time I forget that it is even there.

Freezemark, the original company, will travel anywhere when they - like Farmkey - have enough horses to go to the area. Freezemark are excellent. My grey pony was freezemarked and her mark was extremely clear, although many need clipping during winter. I would always have it done on the shoulder so it can be seen when out being ridden/driven.
