Freeze marking

Hi there everyone. I have decided I definitely want to get my all of ym horses freeze marked to deter against theft as its been on my mind a lot. What do I have to do and who do I have to contact to go about doing this? Also how much will it cost aprox ?

Think it cost about £48 to have done with Farmkey (but there were 3 done at the same time), so will me more or less depending on how many horses are being marked. There is also an annual registration fee (1st year is free). I paid for 4 years in advance (so 5 years including my 1st free year), and that was about £37.

Freezemark offer a similar service (but use 3 digits instead of 4). http://www.freezemark.biz/

Definately, shortly after mine had been done (she was already microchipped), someone entered her stable at night and undid both surcingles of her rug (I assume they saw the freezemark and left
shocked.gif
). I have now painted her freezemark on her rugs.
 
I can't believe someone went into your stable and undid your horses' rug ! Thats sooo scary! Thank god she was safe! I think freezemarking is a must as a visual deterrent - I think of it a bit like putting a yellow steering clamp on my car !!
