dont know if i have done the link bit right....

Further to my post this morning about my palomino geldings freezemark which i used to try and trace his baby days, freezemark informed me this is registered to a grey mare...
Now Eaglestone had a point, it could be something else... as it isnt very clear.

To me it looks like 5S24?

What does any one else think???

The picture is rather large so not very clear, but if it isnt 5S24 it could be 6S24 or SS24 as I think all of the horses I have had done by Freezemark have had 2 letters followed by 2 numbers. Could they not suggest anything to help you?

What about wet?? Clipped and wet??

All I can suggest then is ring the people you got the 'wrong' info off again and keep going with the different combinations til you hit a palomino gelding!! cant suggest anything else!!

I would say the first digit is definately a "5"
2nd digit could be "s" or "8"
3rd digit looks like a "2" but could possibly be a "7" or a "9"
Last digit has to be a "4"

My old mare had one letter followed by 3 numbers.
How old is this horse in question?

I would also clip it. If clipping makes it no clearer, then shave it.
If that doesn't work, wet it too.
If you still can't read it, then you will have to work with a process of elimination!
