French Bulldogs

Does anyone know anything about this breed please.

My friend is going to look at year old bitch, still owned by the breeder, pet only, not to show or breed. She has been round the rescues as she normally always has rescues but none have been suitable as she has cats & chickens.

I don't know anything about this breed whatsoever, any health issues, temperament advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Hereditary cataracts affect the French Bulldog. There is a simple DNA test to diagnose affected individuals (before onset even of visible signs), and also carriers of the mutation.
