Were tentatively thinking about another dog. we wont be looking to buy until around spring time so plenty of time for research :D

We currently have a lab x and a staff both rescues but since I also have a toddler (2.5) we want a pup this time.

I really love the look of French bulldogs any experiences of them? I've never met one in person so after some opinions before I start looking at breeders.

I would do your research as mentioned and contact a breed club/society and ask for a list of recommended breeders.

There are quite a few people breeding poor examples and charging megabucks!

My daughter has just got one and he's adorable for an ugly fella.:D She already has a Pomeranian and a 4 yr old daughter and the puppy has slotted in really well with the whole family. He's a bright little chap who has been very trainable and clean around the house.

I know nothing about them but was surprised to read that most of them don't swim. I thought all dogs could swim ? Shows how much I know.

I have a french bulldog which we got because he was adorable and our other dog needed a friend. He is the most loving dog I have ever come across and really clever when being taught sit, stay etc but really not so clever with toilet training and he is really really greedy, he steals food if given half a chance, he watches you while he does it knowing he shouldn't but clearly the food is worth a telling off!!

I know a lady who has 2, and they are fabulous little dogs, really really friendly and nice natured, but she has had a lot of health problems with one of them. Breathing problems mostly and he had to have quite a major operation at cambridge to help with his breathing. Make sure you do your homework and find a good reputable breeder, as someone else mentioned people charging a fortune for not very well bred dogs (but then thats the same for any breed if you look through the papers!)
good luck with your search!

no worries there, I work in pet insurance and see the claims we get in for the poor puppy farm dogs :( were not in any rush so plenty of time to look about and ask questions :)

my main concern is how they tend to fit in with the family, especially since my daughters only young
