French olympic horses took off for HK this morning

Wishing them all a safe flight

The 5 eventers + 3 dressage team horses took off from Amsterdam today at 10 am. The French federal vet and 2 grooms are traveling with them.
The flight will last 11 hours.
A total of 30 olympic horses are on board.
Cost per horse: 5 500 euros

These neddies are travelling in style, 2 per box/container instead of the usual 3: Equine Business Class service

there is a list of who is travelling currently on www.horsetalk.co.nz team GB eventers go wednesday on a 12 15 midday flight from stanstead, i think some of teh other GB based teams are on that one as well. the aussies go that day i believe also.

Landed about an hour ago but full unloading of all of them will take 3 hours to complete...More news expected tomorrow morning

Are they taking part in the optional blood tests then?
I think that is a great idea, I hope the nations make full use of it.

Blackeventer- they arrived safely! No the flight landed 03:10 HK time and they were at shatin by 05:00. All look well. The french came on their own??? The next lot was 5 hours later and there was only about 12 of them.
Yeh Lulu our eventers and dressage horses land here 10:00 HK time thurs, along with fredericks, alex, kiwis, usa. basically the lot that are based in UK. Will has been here all wk already getting things ready for when they arrive!!!!
