ive just bought a horse (gelding) with a brown book, all written in french! so im kind of struggling. anyone know anything about french books? is 'stud book du selle francais' the main stud book or an auxillary one? is there a www. link i can use to find out more about sire etc? i bought him just on the strength of his temperament and rideability to bring on and sell, plus hes a gelding so im not looking to breed or anything but im just curious as normal! also what do the words et and par mean? presumably par is sire? thanks in advance!

I’ve brought a horse from the south of France and have French papers to and do not know what to do with them!! Its all in French and would like to change the owner ship over to my name, same with the microchip papers. Do you think you could help me?

I know nothing about French studbook papers, but in normal French 'par' means 'by' and 'et' means 'and'.
