French Trotters - Anyone got one? Do they make good allrounders?

Gosh yours has a problem with his stifles aswell? Was he ever driven, mine was driven from 12 months old!! WAY TO YOUNGG!!!! So he has loose stifles in both back legs and couldn't be stabled, I had him out for a year and half and now he is stabled full time at my college and his stifles are fine

Hi Wulfie, this post was 12 months ago. I have since sorted him and the problem was found to be unbalanced, poorly shod feet that were causing issues further up the leg. A change to a fantastic farrier and treatments of craniosacral have resolved the problems and he has been fine since March this year. Am now sat here with a broken leg so he is having an easy time of it at the moment!! Glad your horses stifles were sorted too. Lovely horses aren't they!? Big and soft hearted! :D My horse wasn't raced but I'm sure he'll have been time trialed. He actually prefers to canter than trot, so quite lucky on that part and thats probably why he never got to race!! His father was raced under saddle and his sires name is Voici Du Niel.
