Well that was some day! What a gutsy mare Apple is! I really hope the TV cameras didn't pick me up over the last to home and certainly not with sound on after what happened yesterday with both boys I was shouting at every other horse in the race to f off they aren't doing that to us 2 days in a row

Stephen gave her an absolutely spot on ride. That was his first Grade 1 win too. A very able deputy who is so underrated.

She dropped her whip while switching hands on the run in after the last. She put both reins into one hand and flicked them across the horses shoulders.

Having a English rein’s buckle flicked into your shoulder really hurts. The only reins that should be used in place of a stick are split reins.

As to Rachel's improvised whip I expect any other jockey at any other meeting would have got a couple of days for "Improper use of the whip".
