Sounds like a nice horse, has she tried it on horsequest? I find horsemart useless for more expensive horses.

I agree, I had my old mare on horsemart and H&H, nothing but time wasters and hardly any interest, put her on horsequest and she sold within 24hrs!
and I was still getting calls 2 months later! just incase she hadnt sold!
Generally we are heading into a more recession type environment, so would expect this to affect the horse market, particularly as others have said with the price of hay/feed etc going up.
I personally think that like the housing market, the horse market has been vastly over inflated over the last few years and we are maybe now seeing the effects. People are tightening their belts and paying high prices for horses isn't on the agenda.
A horse is only "worth" what someone is willing to pay for it, if she hasn't had any calls at all, then surely a re-evaluation of said horse's "worth" in the current market is called for, ie re-advertise at a more realistic price for the current market.
This isn't to say that the horse isn't a good one and would have been worth £8K, just that maybe the market perception has shifted on what horses are worth so the seller needs to re-evalute her perception of what her horse is worth.

He is either overpriced or the advert is badly written. You are describing a nice horse, maybe you should rewrite the advert for them?
As to price, I haven't looked for a bit but I know a nice 1.40 horse that was for sale at £6.5k

Bloody hell would snap that up! Still for sale?

Don't know if it is sold yet, do you want me to PM you the number?
