friendly game

can anyone give me advice about playing friendly game with my horse (ssh parelli) i've been trying and but he keeps walking off should i tie him to do this? if i do he'll totally relaxes and looks really sleepy
but the next day will just walk off again with his ears back
not sure when to progress to next stage

constructive advice please
ps have started to try this as feel bolting problem is due to fear and respect issues back checked out ok

ive started doing natural horsemanship ground work with my youngster. When we work together she plays with me. Im not a fan of the parelli games, but have found this ground work very interesting for both her and me.
