Good that Dotty has been found, if she is a bit of a wild card could she wear a tracking collar -not sure if you can do that with working dogs but it may well be worth investigating.

Oh what a relief! A friend had a dog go missing recently and had lots of info on what to do by a dog charity, I'll see if I can find it.

Are you on the local Nextdoor app? If it happens again, it's always worth a post on there. Lost dogs and cats are often listed.

Glad to read this my friends dog went missing for 48 hours. She went back to where she was last seen and left her car engine running. Dogs know the sound of their owners cars and she suddenly turned up x

Happened to me over 20 yrs ago and I still wonder where, why and what happened to him.
He was my first dog, my constant companion for over 15yrs and he just wandered off and was never seen again.

I’ve got trackers on both mine simply because I couldn’t handle them going missing. It would break my heart.
