Sorry - only just got back to PC. Interesting that ad has now been pulled (I have not looked yet). Trading Standards said they have only recently visited this individual on another matter, bringing their total vists to over 10 this year alone! Thats more than one a month! They said they would look into it though.
I also called ILPH, or World Horse Welfare or whatever they are called now, and they said that the trouble is the individual is known for bishoping teeth to make horse look younger, so chances are they wouldn't catch him out anyway.
If I had the money/space/time I would go and get him, but I cannot afford to keep another one - its not so much the cost of buying him, its the cost of everything else on top, and the time factor too - I just couldn't do it.
Is the dealer in norfolk. My friend bought a horse similiar problems all being investigated with trading standards. There is a £5000 fine if they are selling illegally as in false info.Pm me with dealer if its norfolk and I will give you more info.
I expect this little horse's destiny is to end up in the sale ring.
What a tragic, tragic thing to happen.
Can't anyone help at all??????
I am very happy to make a donation - but can't buy him as I don't have my own land. However, I am absolutely prepared to become part of a syndicate to buy him.
If I had my own land I would.....let us know what happens. (If i wasnt going through the KS saga right now and forking out hundreds for vet bills i'd help financially!) poor horse
I would ring the lady from the Horses voice in Leicestershire she is only small but she really seems to do her up most for any horse she can wether its finding it a home or rescuing it she does seem to go out of her way to help any horse maybe more so than some of these bigger charitys.
Also unfortuantly i brought a horse up to here from there but not directly but proof is in the passport and his teeth have been filed down he is probably just another number of horses like this poor old man.
