my ladyloo monster has had a little frieight the power keeps going in our yard and the electric box is high up at the back of her stable but when it trips a spark flys out with a TICK noise she gets so worried and they r going to get it seen to but she now dosent want to go into the stable and when shes in there she is paceing and v adgitated how can i calm her down ............. i hate her being worked up when i leave as i am a real worryer x

Best idea would be to try to move her.
To be honest it's very dangerous electricity sparks flying about in a stable.
I hope they get it sorted soon and that there are no more sparks.
 
Agree with above It's unsafe if there is sparks and you are basicaly putting your mare in danger and there is some really wrong if the power keeps tripping. but why is the electric box in a stable the health and saftey would have serious words about that as it is a fire risk.
 
my horse is very very frightened of some big over head power cables that cross the road i've got to cross to get him in. they occassionly spark and zap as well, SWIB are going to look at it, but for the time being i just switch it off at the mains when walking him past as i feel he is just not going to get used to this, he is very frightened and it will end in an accident, so with you, i would get her moved or turn it off asap, think when they are that frightened its an accident waiting to happen. good luck.x
 
Agree with the others. Sparks in a stable is asking for a burnt alive horse not just a scared one! Get her out (of the whole building/block) tonight or tomorrow.

Get the YM/YO to give you a totally seperate stable or just leave her out (insist on company if there is noone else out and she needs it.) You can always mention calling the fire brigade (not on 999 obviously!) to speed things up with the yard...

Sorry to sound alarmist but really that doesnt sound good at all.
 
I very much doubt that a spark is flying out of a trip switch.There will however be a flash that can be seen through the plastic ,particularly if a lot of current is being drawn. I very much doubt that there is any immediate fire danger from the trip. Nonethe less this really shouldnt be in a horses stable,and it begs the question,"why is it tripping"I would guess it is an RCB rather than a fuse,They are very prone to nuisance tripping,and it takes a good electrician to solve these problems.
