Frodo today *bottle green pics*

On a side note, any idea where i can get a large drop noseband from? I have bought two now and neither are long enough for my horse.

I bought mine online from Schockemoehle ( http://www.schockemoehle.net/shop/ ), it was £30 - if you want I can measure mine to see if it would fit your horse? Leather is excellent quality. Hardware is silver-coloured.

Why don't they like matchy matchy at your yard? Do they not know all the 'cool kids' wear it? ;) :)

Lol - I think Germans are above things like that. I think it's only us foreigners who are obsessed with matchy matchiness. I am trying to think of the pics I have taken of top riders schooling at big shows, Hagen, Cappeln, Munich etc...nobody ever wore anything matching :(

Maybe that's the tell-tale sign that you are a foreign all-the-gear-no-idea dressage diva :(

Since I have a German surname, and always fail at matchy-matchyness, I'm going to pretend I'm a true Dressage Diva then. Now, where can I get that effortlessly perfect seat from to complete the picture. Oh yeah, years of training... ;) ;

Lurvely horse FB - I like him a lot! :D

Out of interest, what were the contact problems you had with him that made you switch to a drop?

We had some pretty serious contact issues, *really* against the hand especially in downward transitions and especially trot to walk and walk to halt. Some days walk to halt was almost unrideable. This happened irrespective of the rider (the Bereiter, my trainer or I). We tried with the drop and all the problems magically disappeared, the only thing I can think of is that he prefers his jaw completely free? The flash was never tight at all by the way, it wasn't even a crank noseband (I spent ages finding a bridle with a normal and not crank noseband!)

The thing about the drop is, my other horse Rauti is exactly the opposite - he has a tendency to drop behind the contact and fall behind the vertical. Well with the drop he is perfectly 'up' at all times. That's why I really think it's magical, because it really has performed miracles on two opposite horses! :p

Frodo looks AMAZING!!! so shiney and supple and gorgeous :)

and i wonder whether i might try a drop on CS, he isnt really finnicky in the contact, but like all 5yo's can sometimes not be totally even, so worth a shot maybe, i know iv got a nice old supple one somewhere in tack room.....

That would be great if you don't mind! I have bought 2 second hand ones to try and both have been no good - they are just too short in length.
