Am thinking of getting Frogpool Manor out to check the fit of my saddles. Just wondered what people thought of the current saddler - his name is David Dyor I believe.

TOTALLY off tangent, but I am peed off with them - I bought 2 things off their website yesterday (listed as in stock) - had a phone call today - NEITHER thing is in stock and both need to be ordered in
Have cancelled one item but I need the other and cannot find another supplier - grrrrrrrrrrr.
Am sure their saddler is great though

Weezy - they say on site that it is not stock controlled, so that may be why.
I think that they are meant to be very good - I live just up the road from them, and have heard only good things.

Kirsty Oxby used to be a saddler at Frogpool but now self employed. She is fantastic.

David is well respected amongst the saddler world! He's just fitted my new boy - easier to take your horse there though as you'll wait weeks for a fitting unless you're near by.

It is misleading though as I would have ordered elsewhere - as it is I am going to have to drive county-wide tomorrow to get what I am after!

Ooh I was orginally told two girls worked at Frogpool and that they have now left and work by themselves - do you have Kirsty's number as I was told she was really good (I have the other girls number - Claire I think)

have only ever heard good of David but have heard its hard to get an appointment with him sometimes as he's so booked up (that speaks volumes i suppose?)
Kirsty Oxby who used to work there now has her own saddlery workshop premises at Speedgate saddlery and is stabled at our yard. she has recently adjusted my saddle and has been so helpful with trying to help sort my saddle problems. Unfortunately all my numbers have deleted off my mobile but i'm sure if you call Speedgate they would give you the number to her saddlery workshop www.speedgate-saddlery.co.uk
