Is it worth the trip? I usually go to Ingatestone but fancy a change, how does it compare size and stock wise.... I am going bday shopping! Any info gratefully received!
 
Its really good. I don't know what the other one you mentioned was, but it has loads of stuff...good clothing and boot selection...good variety....fun to walk around! Shame you missed their big sale!
 
About a quarter of the size. But they do have some interesting stuff there. And I imagine you will get what you are looking for

Compared to Ingatestone it's smaller but then size isnt everything. I work 2 min down the road from Ingatestone and I can not stand the place full of tatty cheap stuff. Frogpool is smaller but full of quality stuff with very helpful friendly staff (unlike the other place!)

Other lovely place if your into clothing & nice tack is Taylors of Sudbury
 
I'd say it's better than Ingatstone. Not as big but has nicer stuff in there.

Speedgate is also close if you wanted a mini tour of the tack shops in Kent!
 
Oh yeah - if anyone can recommend any other tack shops on the way or close by - I will be coming from the M25 Junct 28 round and over the dartford bridge!
 
Frogpool does have a selection of 'quality' stuff, most of it 'name brand'. Great selection of really nice bridles in the corner....a wee bit pricey when you don't need one. Was looking at johds and breeches on Saturday....very nice ones. Speedgate is down by Brands Hatch, so the right direction, other end of the m20. Would be worth tootling down as 25mins south east from Frogpool. Never been there myself but I like tack shops and if its good I may make a little journey.
 
Personally think speedgates more friendly but its more 'normal' stuff such as harry hall rather than pikeur,kentucky etc .But if you know exactly what you want they will order for you and it's normally a bit cheaper than frogpool. Also have a brilliant feed store on site only down side is they are only open from 10-12.30 on sundays less time to spend my money in!!!
