just a little progress thread for my (not so) fat pony! she still looks a bit porkier in person than the most recent pics, but i’m feeling rather proud of myself🤣 she’s about 60kg down, she weighed just a bit more than the section D when she came🙈

Wow that's impressive!

I have 3 rapidly going in the other direction 🙄

thankyou! funnily enough, all the weight coming off her seems to be travelling next door and attaching itself to lily🫣 not so concerned about her because i know once she’s back in work it’ll come off easily and she maintains it well, i think she worries away the calories bless her😂 i’ve switched them both to one soaked net a day and one haylage now - Diva is getting hangry because she’s not keen on the soaked hay, and Lily is practically inhaling the haylage😂 costing me a fortune because my yard only has haylage included!

Congratulations, she looks great - and so much better than before! Very pretty pony. Is she ridden? Are you anticipating it being hard work to keep the weight off or had she just been terribly overfed before she came to you?

thankyou! she’s actually not ridden as of yet, she hammered her legs in the field when we had those few weeks of rock solid ground and did her SDFT in both hinds - very minor damage and a much shorter recovery than many thankfully, but it’s put a halt on her education! the vet and i were in agreement that her weight was probably a very big (no pun intended) factor. i think i’ll always have to keep an eye on her, but i don’t think she’ll be too difficult to manage once she’s in proper work - she’d definitely been over fed, the lady i bought her off actually said she thought she still had some filling out to do🙈

That is a great looking pony, very well done.

Mine has lost 10 inches off her girth since I got her (costs me a fortune in new girths!) but she's still chubby really. Thank you for the inspiration.
