My old mare (27) has been not eating anything except grass (no hay/haylage/hard feed) for the last couple of days so she had the vet today teeth are fine and nothing obv wrong so they took a blood sample to check her liver but the blood was really frothy, the vet said she didnt know why but just wondered if any of you guys had experienced this or had any ideas?

Thanks xx

No idea but would be interested to know why too!

It may be related to protein - when I used to work in a lab and was purifying proteins, the solution containing protein would froth if shaken gently. Just a thought, don't know how that would relate to blood tests though.....

I'd be interested to hear the results!
