frozen meat and DJD

can anyone who has frozen meat delivered tell me what happens if it doesn't arrive on the correct day please?

just found out order due today (which comes with sticker saying frozen must be delivered on the day) isn't coming till tomorrow. Reason is due to unexpected issues in our area. I have just driven 15 miles back into our area by car and no issues.

does DJD have overnight storage facilities? if not I will be getting a large box of bloody unfrozen meat which I am not overjoyed at putting into my clean human food freezer.

do you just have to suck it up, wash it all to get rid of the blood, re freeze it and accept it? (couldn't find anything on the coys website re this.

I have simply refused to accept meat the day after it should have been delivered. The company was DPD though. It happened so many times that I stopped buying from the company.
 
We ship a lot of frozen (on dry ice), if it gets stuck in an airport than they can sometimes store it in a freezer but usually delayed delivery means it's screwed.

I used to work in a feed store - if raw food arrived defrosted we had to take a pic, email the company and they would tell us to dispose of it and would send another delivery, DPD once lost a parcel of raw meat and our courier said they found it by smell 2 weeks later trying to crawl out of a dark corner of the warehouse on it's own!!!
