Thank god the mud has frozen over! its very lumpy by the gate but where the ponies are its still quite firm but not solid. The ponies seem much happier now theres just the 2 of them, had 4 on there last week, welshie has hopefully been sold, hes ogone on trial for a week and |TB is much happier in a stable ive rented for the winter! Went past the ponies and one of them was flat out asleep this afternoon on the hay!
Checked TB for mud rash today - all good! surprised really as shes been in 8" for the past month. At last i have somewhere to tie her up and do things without getting covered in mud!!! i can have clean riding boots again now

As you have posted so frequently about the problems with your field, perhaps you should think of permanently keeping fewer horses in your field.

I know! mud probs are not as bad - will give my field chance to recover, its halved now so the ponies are on 1.5 acres, the worst bits are being left untill feb/march. Much better with the 2 on there now. It was silly of me to put 4 on there!
In the summer am having 3 stables and a nice shelter put up complete with post and rail fencing to divide the field properly, also putting in a path down the centre for the car. Roll on summer!!
