What fruit & veg do you feed your horse?
I know there are the obvious, like apples & carrots but what about the more unusual or exotic varieties?! And I presume it's all raw? Isn't cooked veg bad for animals?

I give my boy a suede that has a hole drilled through the middle, and I then hang it up in his stable for him to take his frustration out on. Other than that just the usual Carrots and Apples.

At my old yard the YO use to feed them all everything. She started giving Buddy bananas...he loves them!!! I don't give him too many though, i also sometimes give him a few slices of pear.

Oscar has anything from apples, carrots, parsnip, swede, oranges, bananas, pears, grapes the list goes on, dont think Ive found anything he wont eat yet

Feed them anything they will eat, my old pony used to get oranges, bananas, grapes, plums and pears along with the usual carrots, apples and turnip.

He would eat anything though, I don't think I could persuade my girl to eat anything that wasn't a carrot and even then she's suspicious of it, thinks you might be trying to drug her

Have discovered recently that my 3 equines between them like broccoli, fennel, courgettes, some types of cabbage and pears as well as the more normal stuff. They won't look at celery or swede.

Apples, pears, sweed, parsnip, carrots. Havent really tried anything else. Apart from orange that a friend gave him.

Oh and some nana but he wasnt so keen on that!

Before Jake's diet, he liked.

Pears apples, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, oranges, swede, turnips carrots grapes.

He is now restricted to 3 carrots and one pear or apple a day.

Regularly apples, carrots, parsnips and pears. On occasions, pretty much anything. Strawberries, grapes, bananas, etc. The only one he wouldn't eat was swede.

My girls are really fussy and will only eat apples and carrots... or so I thought! One of them surprised me a couple of weeks ago by eating a piece of nectrine and she really enjoyed it!

Apples and carrots and the occasional swede.
If I ever catch my ex-resident know-it-all trying to feed my horse cabbages or oranges (as she used to do with the horses when she was the resident know-it-all) I shall try feeding her horses the fingers I will have manually removed from her body

Apples carrots pears for JB

Will used to eat anything apples, carrots, pears, parsnips, turnip, cabbage, brussels.

On our back paddock we have got a large pear tree and about 3 apple trees (all cookers). They like the shade in the summer when I'm phoo picking and the pears fall you hear them and it's a mad dash to see who gets there first me or the horses. I try to pick up as many as possible as I don't like them to have a lot (the tree is very high and my lad was 17.1 and couldn't reach them unless they fell off. So then I find them rubbing their buts on the trunk of the tree to make the pears fall off lol.
