I have had my boy advertised for loan for a while now....we have had some interest...

He is a 15.2 grey 5 year old cob Gelding. He has got a great jump on him, very willing, has been to sj, clinics and shows. Has has xc schooling. He is currently having flatwork lessons and is improoving every lesson. He is well behaved on the ground. He has a temprement like no other horse that i know. He is very loving and wlling and always tries his hardest. He hacks alone and in company. (this is notthe advert i placed)

I am just at a loss for why i havnt had many responses!

He is a great boy.

He is on loan for 3 days a week as i have alot of school work at the moment and sport training. We were askin £35 a week as it is what i have paid forin the past.

Any ideas of why im not getting much response...?

thanks

He has been on horsemart....the local friday add....local tack shops....and various other free horse advertising websites

I dont know really what to say, its not as though your not advertising him enough. And he sounds such a great ideal horse i am really shocked that you havent had much response.
What is your reason for putting him on loan if you dont mind me asking?

I basically am finding that i have not got all the time in the world at the moment. I have got important exams coming up and i am also trialin for sussex girls rugby so i am training alot...so in the end i would just love someone to take him on for a few days to give him some attention and exercise for the days that i cant and just have some fun.

personally i think £35 for 3 days loan is a bit expensive, where you are from does make a small difference in price, the most i have paid for part loan is £20 for 5 days in winter, and in summer ive paid £17 a week for a horse and a pony.

yea...thing is around me i have looked at what others are charging...some people are charging the same amount for fewer days....

But we are not set at that price that was just what we were thinkning of....and as i have moved yards recently we can afford to ask for less....

May be try putting the price down by a little...not alot and see if that makes any difference. Doesnt anyone on your yard want or know anyone who would want to loan him?

where are you based?
im in the north east and decent loan horses are impossible to find!
paying that much for only 3 days would put me off though, could u try £20?

I agree that you need to lower the price. In this area when someone loans a horse at the same yard for a few days a week, they generally don't pay to do it, they are helping you out and are getting rides in return,

Yeah maybe its just a case of patience but i guess lowering the price may help

Wish i had the money and was a little closer lol

Have you stressed in the add his lovely temprement?

ye i ave just written up my new add for the tack shop. And i have stressed how lovely he is.

I used to pay £35 for a three day loan in the same area i am advertising mine for loan. But i have talked to my parents and we are going to ask for £25 a week. So fingers crossed
