I had such an amazing lession on a school master earlier in the week and now ive just had another lession on a horse that was really, really hard to get going and i ended up working so hard and sweating like a pig. So i just feel a little disappointed! I think its difficult riding a horse with so much energy and then riding one that just can't be botherd!

Thats a shame, but it is good experience to ride different horses from time to time. Don't get dispondent take it as a learning curve.

never mind, variety is good (heartless arent i?

think how much you'll be learning about getting greatlazy lumps to work, if you just rode schoolmasters all the time youd soon be flawless on a pushbutton horse, but that wouldnt help you if you ever got on anything else

plus, think how many calories you'll have used and how toned your legs will be, go and get yourself some chocolate

I agree that the difference in horses is notably different especially when impulsion is the differing factor!

I normally ride a cob who is willing to work and does everything I ask to the best of his ability, but this week I rode a youngster (as cob has a cold

) and My god i had to go back to my basics to teach him the basics, and its trying to think and do and balance him at the same time my body was like WHAT?!! we dont do this any more!!!! hehe

It sucks at first, but when you get a good result out of that horse it will feel great!

Yeah your right, when i try to look at it in a positive way it taught me determanation, ive never had to kick, whip and yell before. x

"kick, whip and yell" - heck! I spent many a year at RSs and only ever had a couple like this - and when I saw the standard of some of the teaching at those places decided not to go back... not saying always anyone's fault but does sound a bit of a miserable place if this is the attitude of the horses...
