I can't quite work out what is going on. Sorry Fairynuff, can you summarise for me. I'm at work and can't follow video links :(

There is a video showing a blood covered tree trunk with skid marks all around it where the 'trainer' had tied a horse that wouldn't tie and then beaten it - it ended up dead.

The second link isn't working and the rest leaves me with guessing what might have happened.:mad::(

Thanks for reminding me about Fugly I have looked for a few weeks.

And whip marks in the ground, showing the force of the beating it got.

I hope noone lets this rest.

I couldn't quite work it out either, quite a confusing blog imo. From what you have filled us in that sounds horific. That's disgusting. I hope people don't let this lie.

I get the jist of what happened from the comments underneath the youtube video.
But I've searched for more info on it and nothing seems to come up! Strange :\

"You want facts. Here they are. The ones available.

1. Horse was trained to stand, not be tied. The trainer was informed and instructed to follow this and not tie him to ANYTHING. There is a witness to prove this.

2. Trainer tied the horse disobeying the owners explicit instructions. She tied a horse that was known to panic when tied. This is a hazard to the horse. That is a fact. Obviously

3. The trainer was hired to train under saddle for jumping and dressage, not ground wrk or horsemanship

4. There was a witness. Witness confirmed this: horse was tied to tree after he began to panic from being whipped. When horse would move after being tied, she would hit him. The more she hit him the more he would panic and bash his head against the tree. He collapsed and was hanging from the tree by his halter. They had to cut the halter to release him from the tree. He got up for a couple of seconds just to collapse and die.

5. The horse was trailered to the vet where the prelim necropsy showed the COD was a severe blow to the head breaking the skull coupled with damage to the neck.

6. The final necropsy confirmed this along with statements confirming that abuse may have been involved from observations of the entire body. Head to tail.

7. The trainer and owner of facility claimed that it was of a heart attack and refused to admit head injury.

8. Trainer never looked owner in the eye or apologized face to face.

8. Sheriff’s office and SPCA confirmed it was a case worthy of investigating.

9. Owner is taking legal actions

10. Channel 11 did a story on it, whether or not it has been aired is unknown to me, but I was contacted by the reporter covering the story."

Very, very tragic
