Had bitting consultant when I first got the new one, needs a full cheek ported bit and was definitely happier in it.

I always try synthetic bits first because I've always found my horses prefer them but couldn't find a 6.5 so went metal. Today I wrapped the mouthpiece with vet wrap and he seemed to like it so I want to find a synthetic version, anyone know where you can get large sizes?

I was going to suggest a Beris but they seem to be going up to a 5.5 inch. Is 6.5 inch definitely correct?

I'd second TXF re calling the bit bank. I've found them really helpful in the past. I' guessing the bit consultant wasn't able to tell you the bit to buy or has the horse changed since you saw them?

The consultant did recommend a couple of bits which I've bought, she was concentrating on shape rather than material though, we didn't try any synthetic mouthpieces.

Yep, 6.5", I've got a giant!, 6..25 at a squeeze.
