Anyone any thoughts on the Neue Schule full cheek trans angled lozenge bit? I hack my mare out in a full cheek snaffle as she used to whip round at every opportunity. She is loads better now but I have kept her in this bit as a precaution as it assists with keeping her straight. Was wondering whether to dressage her in one of these to give me a bit more control and straightness. Currently does flatwork / dressage in a KK lozenge loose ring. Probably flapping slightly as have 1st dressage (or anything) outing for 18mths after I have been in foal and don't want to make a t*t of myself!

I agree, I try to use the same bit if possible. I do like Neue Schule though and have had very positive outcomes with my horse from their bits. I use the full cheek, after 4 yrs of trying to find the right bit I am now sticking with the full cheek with french link and flash. I Use the full cheek for everything, xc, dressage, schooling and hacking, and the flash when needed. the bitting market is very confusing and sometimes the simple things and sticking with what you are comfortable with are the best! Good luck x

Thanks for your replies.
I didn't really intend to have a diff. bit for hacking (tho need one for X-C!!) but felt safer with the cheeks and had a single jointed one hanging about whereas I do all her flatwork in the KK with lozenge and she seems comfortable with that.
May try and get hold of a NS with cheeks but will not rush to do it before weekend...I am sure it won't make that much difference!!
