Just wondering if this is true? Mine are both fully clipped now and I am not noticing much different to be honest, ok its been a bit warm this week but even tonight when it was blowing a gale, we just got a bit of a move on.
Okay - I have dug the exercise rugs out for later in the month.

I feel this may be an old wives tale as when I gave my boy a full clip 2 years ago it made no difference except he was happier without a thick coat and less sweating!

I clipped my girl on Sunday (Hunter Clip) and she has definitely got a spring in her step. She has been alot spookier and sharper, hopefully it will wear off soon.

I have to agree with this. I clip mine, infact did it tonight, and I do notice a difference. I`m not sure why. Maybe he just becomes more sensitive to contact with less hair.

depends how much they feel the cold - its like if its frosty they all get quite fresh because its chilly and the fresh air but some horses react more than others i know some who turn into nutters when fully clipped and others who just dont care and dont chage at all :)

Nope, never see a difference in any of the ones I ride. Well one of them couldn't actually get any spookier without having heart failure

Mine gets more lively but that's usually as she's not too hot and therefore sluggish anymore! I do know some that turn pretty bonkers!!

so true my old hunter who sadly passed away in march use to go in to hunter mode once he had been clipped and was a totally different horse for at least a month
