Hi there,

This is my first post on Horse and Hound, so please be kind to me :o. I am currently considering bringing my horse up to Nottingham. She's looked after really well at the moment, but I just miss her a lot. My problem is, that I am only really free in the evenings and at weekends. So I'd probably need some sort of full livery. Possibly even with exercise (lunging, hacking, horse-walker or similar) on up to 3 days a week. It's for a dressage horse and should be as close to Nottingham as possible.

In an ideal world, the livery yard would have all of these:
  • Flood-lit outdoor with a decent surface or even better an indoor school
  • Open late (at least 9ish) in the evenings
  • Turn-out available at least in the summer
  • A good instructor (dressage) on site would be great, if that is not possible then the option to bring a freelance instructor to the yard would be required, as am currently lacking transport
  • Holiday cover available/ possibly exercise a couple of days a week
  • To top it all off I would like to be close to Nottingham (City Centre), however, I'd also consider going in the Derby/Ilkeston direction or maybe a bit north of Nottingham

I realize that this is a monster list, but maybe there is the perfect yard out there?
Looking forward to some input! Thanks a lot in advance!

Thanks all!!

They certainly look good and I'll have a closer look at them! For me turn-out is more important than having an indoor I would think.

Does anyone know of something a bit more in the Derby direction, rather than to the south of Nottingham? That would make it easier for me to go and see the horse after work.

Thanks a lot already! :)
