Those on full livery - much do you pay per month for full livery? What exactly do you get for your money?

Am doing some research for a friend.

I offer 7 day Full Livery for £90 per week includes-

bedding
hay (haylage extra)
turn out
bring in
mucking out
haying
feeding
putting on walker when needed

Yard has fab facilities including 60 x 40 arena, miles of off road hacking, solarium, horse walker, round pen, clients lounge, individual cupboards in tack room. I don't include feed.

I am on full livery in Essex, I pay £370 a month and get everything done except grooming, tack cleaning and riding (oh and vets / farrier of course) - all done to an excellent standard in my opinion. 40x20m floodlit school, excellent hacking, good post and rail paddocks, large auto waterers.

Our yard does feed, turnout, change rugs, muck out, bring in.

Includes feed, hay and straw. Not the prettiest yard but indoor and outdoor schools, little XC jumps and ok hacking (off road but cant go far) for £60 per week.

But there are extra charges for lorry parking, holding for farrier/dentist ect and (strangely) picking feet out (I never understand that one???).

I'm on DIY but I'm told the staff are good and trustworthy.

About £90 - £120 seems to be the standard rate for full livery inc exercise in the Hampshire area with about £65 - £95 for part livery.

Hmm I'm screwed when I move to London!!

Please can you move near London. You're just what I'm looking for and at a price I could afford.

I might be being a bit thick here (it is after all fairly late!) but I don't really understand the difference between full & part livery... I always though the difference was whether you got your horse ridden or not.

I am on PL & I get all the above bar the horse walker as we don't have one and it is defined as part livery.

At my old yard..part livery was mon-fri and full livery was mon-sun. I paid £220 per month for part livery which meant them turning in and out, mucking out and feeding if required.

Full Livery fee at my yard in Wilts is £110 which includes stabling/grazing/straw/hay/basic concentrates/all daily care 7 days a week and exercising 4 x a week. As above but over 5 days is £85 per week

Part Livery which is as above but excludes exercising is £90pw over 7 days or £65 for a 5 day week.

I pay £150 per week for full livery at a beautiful stud/training yard, with excellent post-and-rail paddocks, huge airy stables, nice outdoor school, walker, coffee room, nice hacking, etc. YO is a BHSI and BE Accredited trainer.

The full livery includes absolutely everything - all feed, including special supplements etc; full grooming every day, including strapping, finishing with hot cloths, trimming, etc.; tack cleaning; turn-out; exercise/schooling...basically they look after my horse as though he were their own and give him everything he needs. Oh, and they stand him at stud for me as well.

I have a stupid beastly illness which means I am often unable even to visit my horse for weeks on end, so I am very lucky that he is in such good hands.

Do full livery places charge extra for handing when farrier or vet is needed? Just wondering.

I pay £55 a week in the winter, which includes-
rug changing
turn out
muck out
bring in
haylage
2 bales shavings
feed of choice
feet picked out/legs washed
holding vet/farrier
individual t/o

In the summer they go out 24/7, so goes down to £22.50 a week, this still includes fetching them in if I want them in for the day, and vet/farrier etc.
Feeling a bit spoilt now, only downside is the school is a bit rubbish and deep.

What you are describing is Schooling Livery. Full livery is everything done apart from ridden work with your horse.

My yard provides everything including feed, bedding, (I have to buy my own very expensive feed supplements) - they muck him out daily, skipped out twice a day, rugs changed depending upon the time of the year, in and out of the field, feet picked out, thorough groom, fed, held for vet and farrier, plus we have the use of huge indoor and outdoor schools, horse Solarium, gallop track, cross country course.......

All for £350.00 per month.
